Reporting Plugin with Charts and Customisable Reports

Turn your LimeSurvey results into clear, shareable online reports. The Free LimeSurvey Reporting Plugin helps you present survey feedback as interactive charts and readable text answer lists.

The plugin reads completed responses directly from your LimeSurvey database. Each time you open or reload a report, it shows the latest completed responses without manual exports or a separate reporting tool.

• Display pie, bar, column, and 100% stacked bar charts, depending on the question type and configuration.
• Choose a global default chart type for list-style questions.
• Explore percentages and response counts through interactive chart tooltips.
• Read long free-text answers alongside your charts.
• Automatically create a default report when you activate a survey, or create reports manually.
• Edit report titles, activate or deactivate reports, and delete reports you no longer need.
• Manage reports centrally or from the relevant survey’s report list.
• Include or exclude individual questions through their question settings.
• Set a minimum number of completed responses before a report displays results.
• Share reports through dedicated public links.
• Navigate longer reports with collapsible question groups and a fullscreen control.

Anyone with a report’s public link can view its results once the report is active and meets the minimum response threshold.

The plugin displays reports in the survey’s base language and omits question types outside the Free edition’s supported range.

Requirements and installation

You need LimeSurvey 6.x, PHP 8.3 or newer, and an active survey with a response table.

Upload the plugin ZIP through LimeSurvey’s Plugin Manager and activate it using a superadministrator account. Enable reporting for the relevant surveys, configure your defaults, and create your first report.

Planned advanced features

We are planning future advanced editions with additional reporting capabilities. Areas under consideration include:

• Interactive answer filters and submission-date filters.
• More question types, mean values, and numerical summaries.
• Multilingual reports with a language switcher.
• Report printing and PNG, SVG, and CSV chart downloads.
• Restricted report access and configurable availability periods.
• Automatic and scheduled report-link emails.

These features are not included in the current Free edition. The final scope and availability of future editions are yet to be confirmed.
